Varsity Academy is designed to provide the same excellent basketball and life skill training that has made NBC one of the top camps in the country since 1971. Varsity Academy trains athletes to win in sport and in life. |
Since 1999, Varsity Academy has been training basketball
players to win in sport and in life. VA is a year-round basketball and life skills training program
of NBC Camps. VA is designed to provide
the same excellent basketball and life skills training that
has made NBC one of the top camps in the country for the past
35 years.

Varsity Academy began to help athletes maintain their determination,
confidence and skill development all year long. Many times
campers returned from camp hopeful to start basketball season
only to become discouraged after a tough season. We at
NBC Camps want to provide a place to help train you to reach
your basketball and life dreams. We want to be the voice
of encouragement as we give you tools to maintain your dreams
this year.

STAFF
Varsity Academy's positive, energetic, enthusiastic staff creates
an atmosphere where athletes can develop basketball skills
and self-confidence. The staff prides itself on teaching through
encouragement, skill correction, and positive reinforcement.
The members of the VA staff have several years of experience
with NBC Camps.

John Donnelly
Director
John has 24 years of basketball coaching experience at the varisty high school level and a career 71% winning percentage. He's made 10 state tournament appearances and he was the SCAC Coach of the year in 2000. John has a long coaching history with NBC Camps. Additional coaches will be determined based on enrollment.

Ben has been involved with NBC Camps since 7th grade and started for the '06 NBC Italy tour team. He has worked at many NBC Camps and coached elementary through high school. he played at Grays Harbor College and is currently on staff with the Men's Basketball Team at CWU.
Eddie Allan

Eddie has been involved with NBC Camps for the past seven years organizing clinics in Central Washingotn and working camps. he has coached Youth AAU through High School. he is plannine to take a U16 NBC International tour in 2009.
Varsity Academy also hires NBC coaches and college athletes to
help with VA time.

RELATIONSHIPS
Varsity Academy offers athletes an environment to build friendships
with fellow members and coaches. In VA, we encourage every
athlete to seek ways to improve relationships with family,
friends, and God.

LIFE SKILLS
During the course of our fall, winter, and spring sessions we'll
discuss the importance of living with high integrity and strong
moral character. On occasion, we’ll also listen to guest
speakers share motivating messages about life. (for VA
and High School Elite programs)

GEAR
Each athlete in the Varsity Academy will be given a VA t-shirt
that is to be worn to each gym time as the Varsity Academy
uniform. All athletes are expected to provide their own basketball,
indoor shoes, and hoop clothing. (for VA and High School
Elite programs)
